24 march until 12 may 2018 Galerie Door proudly presents Wood for Thought, the spring exhibition 2018 with drawings by mielle harvey and objects and pins by kun zhang. Please join us for the opening saturday 24 march 2018 from 3 – 7 pm.
Mielle harvey draws on paper, very fine and at the same time somewhat coarse, fallen and slowly decaying birch wood. In a very dynamic style, using graphite and wax crayon, harvey gives us her very own vision on the ‘memento mori’ theme.
Kun zhang cuts extremely thin handmade pins from hardwood pink ivory and ebony. The pieces that kun zhang cuts from this difficult to process hardwood – are self-standing images, sculptures.
