Galerie Door pop-up Heusden

For the last two months of this year, Galerie Door is temporarily moving to Heusden. Heusden, a medieval fortified town that can still be seen in all its glory with beautiful homes, stately buildings and the original ramparts. A feast for the eyes, and thus an environment that does Galerie Door’s art excellent justice!

In the beautiful pop-up venue at Sterrestraat 2b, you will be treated to no less than three exhibitions. First up, you will see a solo exhibition by designer Maria Hees titled ‘mille feuille‘. In recent years, a transformation has taken place in Maria’s work. Utility value is no longer paramount, the image and uniqueness are more important. Stacks of thin coloured layers of porcelain in an unpredictable Japanese treatment process make each artwork – from brooch to wall object – completely unique. Maria Hees has reinvented herself, mille fois … Want to know more about Maria’s vision and working methods? She will be present at the opening and will be happy to explain it to you in a ‘ meet and greet with the artist’.

Besides Maria Hees, you can also enjoy new work by Typhaine Le Monnier and Robean Visschers, their exhibitions will open on Saturday 9 December 2023. To be continued!
