1st Lisbon Contemporary Jewellery Biennial
From 17 until 19 September 2021 Galerie Door presents a selection of artworks by its artists/partners during the 1st Lisbon Contemporary Jewellery Biennial, in Lisbon, Portugal.
The program of the biennial consists of project exhibitions, lectures, master classes and the Jewellery Room. In this beautiful space of the Galeria de Arte Moderna of Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes, Galerie Door creates a presentation with contemporary art and art jewelry that loosely refers to the central theme: ‘Cold Sweat’.
Cold sweat and clammy hands, the artworks in the exhibition take the visitor to all kinds of fields of tension, syndromes and protection from them. It is obvious that you will see many circles and ‘crowns’. In addition, Galerie Door shows jewellery that can be worn for protection, such as the amulet, talisman, armor, shields and wings. But also exclamation marks “Beware”, sharp corners and a good dose of humor contribute to this special show.
