Forward

3 until 12 February 2023

From 3 to 12 February 2023, Galerie Door temporarily moves to the Synagogue in Buren (Gelderland), because in this beautiful old fortified town, in addition to historical ties with our royal family there are also roots of artists working with Galerie Door. Reason enough for a pop-up exhibition on this ‘hallowed’ ground.

During the exhibition in the Synagogue, you will see a selection of always imaginative work by over 30 (inter)national artists of Galerie Door: a selection in which you can find the theme ‘forward’. For example, you will see artworks in which the reuse of materials is central and art jewellery in which found objects take over the role of gemstones. You will also discover artworks for which the artists have worked with materials from their immediate environment, such as a mysterious moth made of moss. You will see paintings that have been painted over and over again over the years, with beautiful images as a result. Forward!

We look forward to seeing you in Buren.
