Butterflies and Hurricanes
The title is taken from a song by the British band Muse. Just like Lennaert Nijgh’s beautiful lyrics about the ‘drowned butterfly’ and ‘wings of paper’, ‘Butterflies and Hurricanes’ refers to both beauty and fragility and, above all, to the power of transformation.
Tar paper, solid steel, small winged animals and meter-sized insects, still and full of fire, you will see it all in the sales exhibition:
